Let me explain a little bit about what I do with clients coming for hypnotherapy.
It is a wonderfully relaxing experience for people in my care. I offer a comfortable and quiet environment, with a soft supportive chair whereby you are able to completely relax, unwind and give a little time to yourself. An opportunity to put all of the stresses of the day to one side while you truly learn to relax.
You are guided into a very deep level of physical and mental relaxation, entering into a state of hypnosis which is rather like day dreaming while focusing on positive suggestion and visualisations while listening to the sound of my voice. This facilitates and allows you to make changes to your current and unwanted thoughts, feelings and behaviours. You are not asleep during hypnosis but in an incredibly relaxed state.
It’s a very peaceful experience, giving the opportunity of allowing your busy mind to calm down while at the same time having the ability of making changes for the better regarding your beliefs and habits. It can sometimes result in a pleasant sensation of floating or heaviness in your body as you allow yourself to sink comfortably into the chair, allowing your mind to wander while I deliver positive and preferred suggestions that will assist you in reaching desired goals. You can hear everything that is being said, be aware of your surroundings, remember what has happened and you are in control during the therapy, you can open your eyes and end the session at any time, though you are more likely to enjoy the wonderful peaceful tranquillity instead.
Anyone can be hypnotised if they want to be but can never be made to do anything against their will. In a trance like state, these positive suggestions give you the ability to change unwanted behaviours or habits, conquer fears and phobias, and increase your confidence and self-esteem.
No matter what you want to change about your life, hypnosis is incredibly powerful, incredibly calming and naturally reduces stress levels and can also facilitate a good night’s sleep.
